產品描述：Astrocytes are very abundant in the central nervous system (CNS) in brain; The ratio of astrocytes to neurons is 1:3 in the cortex of mice and rats. It has the crucial role to support neurons in structure and metabolism, including transmission and survival of neuron. Astrocytes have recently been found to have a wide range of functions: directing the movement of developing axons and specific neuroblasts during the developmental stage, contributing to synaptic transmission, synapse strength, and the processing of information in neural circuits, and participating in the integral formation of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), as well as regulating the tone of the cerebrovascular system. Mouse Astrocytes Cortex are isolated from adult C57 mouse brain, including the cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum, and are dissociated enzymatically and mechanically into suspension of single cells. Mouse Astrocytes Cortex are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
